Résumé

Three new neighbors, two missing women, and one grad student who can't mind her own business.---Socially apathetic but intensely curious anthropology grad student Jack Bardot spends a lot of time observing others. More specifically, the lives of her neighbors through her window. The horseshoe layout of the Edison, a beautiful, university-owned apartment building, gives Jack the perfect vantage point.
She's a semi-professional people-watcher... what else is she going to do?As the deadline to finalize her research question draws near, Jack avoids real life to fixate on the two new sets of neighbors who arrived at the start of summer. But maybe it's not pure procrastination, because the interaction between the married couple in 2D and the flirty summer subletter in 2E is providing all the inspiration she needs.
But when someone goes missing, Jack starts to wonder what her neighbors are really up to. Especially once she learns that a suspicious death from twenty years ago and a more recent missing student are both connected to her new neighbor. Jack's predilection for people-watching has put her in danger, so can she figure out what's going on before it's too late?
High rises, small towns, twisty mysteries and college thrillers. I spent ten years in academia and psychology research before leaving to pursue something else that could similarly mess with my head (being an author). I now use my PhD in psychology mostly for good (writing), but sometimes for evil (overthinking). Mostly, I continue to strive to find that balance between spending quality time with my favorite people and sweet, sweet time alone with my stories.
After a stint in London (England) and Toronto (Canada), I now live in a tiny but delightful apartment in Auckland (NZ), Bi Myself.
