Adopted from birth, Pam Weaver trained as a nursery nurse working in children's homes, premature baby units, day nurseries, and at one time she was a Hyde Park nanny. The inspiration for Pam's novels comes from her love of people and their stories and her passion for the town of Worthing. Kitty Neale was raised in South London and this working class area became the inspiration for her novels.
In the 1980s she moved to Surrey with her husband and two children, but in 1998 there was a catalyst in her life when her son died, aged just 27. After joining other bereaved parents in a support group, Kitty was inspired to take up writing and her books have been Sunday Times bestsellers. Kitty now lives in Spain with her husband. Marie Maxwell was born in London and after living here, there and everywhere, now lives happily by the sea in Essex.

She writes full time from a haunted farmhouse in the Yorkshire Dales and from the slopes of an olive grove in Crete. She is one of a group of volunteer drivers for her local branch library's 'Books on wheels.'
