Unfortunately, today many have replaced any notion of true virtue with a cheap counterfeit form - conduct designed solely for near-term virtue recognition and status without regard for any long-term consequences. In this book, we explore the nature of false virtue, including its origins, essential characteristics, and its many and varied forms, as well as the role of relative time preference in the need for virtue recognition.
