Existent: Life in Death

Waking with wounds suffered in one world to another world that offers nothing but more pain and suffering, Heck journeys on through the lands of an alien earth, fighting to avoid becoming a victim in death. In this divergent-world dark fantasy, Crimean war-era British soldier, Heck, wakes to a land of the living dead. Surrounded by fellow fallen comrades and an alien environment that is as harsh as the meat grinder he left, Heck quickly learns there is no peaceful rest waiting for him in the afterlife.
From the moment he opens his eyes and breathes in the warm, dry air, our hero finds himself in another life and death struggle against dangers that the alien earth forces upon him. On his travels through this new world, Heck encounters an assortment of would-be death givers, including, but not limited to: large rat-like animals, bone-clad knights, small carnivorous lizards, large herbivorous lizards, giant albino apes right through to human cannibals.
Heck sees that survival is his only future: survive, or surrender dead. With no idea how things will end, if they will end, or when that end will be met, Heck wanders on.
