Résumé

Georgette LaSalle's life is a whirlwind of drama. The award-winning chef is constantly trailed by gossip blogs desperate to capture her romantic and professional highs and  lows. Now it seems the  blogs will have it all. Unceremoniously ousted from her restaurant empire,  Georgette is forced to move from her hometown of New Orleans to Washington D. C.  in  search  of a savvy lawyer to win her restaurants back.
What she finds is a hot, uptight woman, Mei Kuang, who thinks Georgette's case is not worth her time. Mei Kuang, former Olympian and successful attorney, didn't get where she is by breaking the rules. And she doesn't plan to start now. Mei's only goal is to make partner at her firm as quickly as possible so that she can stop doing grunt work and be freed from her obnoxious boss. She's one case away from her dream when she's given Georgette's case to handle.
Any thoughts she had about an easy last case are erased when the two go head-to-head over what the next steps are. As Mei and Georgette struggle to decide how to tackle this case, the line between work and play becomes increasingly blurred. Will they give up their dreams for a chance at love or quiet their hearts to achieve their ambitions?
