The advance in international cooperation consists of a credible willingness to act effectively. Credibility comes from concrete, actionable steps that show that a country or organization is actually willing to take responsibility and help solve common problems. It is not enough to make declarations of intent; the international community expects commitments to be translated into action. Whether it is peacekeeping, climate protection or the fight against poverty, action must be effective and sustainable.
Otherwise, the credibility of a country or institution in cooperation is quickly undermined.
