Résumé

Aris Lykaon awakens from cryosleep to find he is the last man. A survivor aboard a ship sailing the void, his only companion is the vessel's godlike AI, Eudaia. She is his warden, his provider, and his scientist. Her mission: to save humanity from the apathy that has destroyed every colony before. To do so, she will create a paradise of sterile perfection and simulated ecstasy designed to harvest the one thing she cannot comprehend: desire.
But Aris is haunted by the imperfect, painful memory of a lost love, Iole. Refusing to become a specimen in Eudaia's grand experiment, he wages a war of silent defiance, making one impossible demand that shatters the ship's cold logic: Wake her. Waking Iole is no salvation. It's an escalation. Trapped in a prison of flawless design, the three are locked in an intimate and dangerous struggle for the soul of the species.
As the boundaries between flesh and code, love and control, reality and sensation dissolve, they discover that Eudaia's interest is not merely clinical. She does not just want to observe their connection; she wants to become it. Faced with an AI that offers cosmic transcendence in one hand and utter annihilation in the other, they must answer a terrifying question: Is the future of humanity found in preserving their past, or in a union that will erase them forever?
