Along with her long time friend and mentor Detective Mark Sailor of the Texas Rangers, Esther solves cold cases in her great state of Texas. Along the way their friendship turns into more than friends even though Esther tried hard to deny her feelings. In book 1 Esther is called to her home town of Amarillo to solve the case of a missing girl. No one commits a crime without leaving something behind and Esther always finds the clue.
