Résumé
Inequalities have increased over the last 25 years, and with them discrimination. At the same time, and fortunately, companies, particularly in Europe, have implemented structured human resources policies aimed at regulating this major trend within the limits of their means, in order to strengthen equality, diversity and inclusion. But behind these three words lie a wide variety of managerial approaches, some of them opposed, and ideological battles.
The European HRD Circle, made up of HRDs or former HRDs who have long been committed to combating inequality, uses a philosophical and legal approach to clarify the concepts and their implementation in defence of the European social model. Rejecting ready-made thinking, the authors argue for a resolutely humane European approach, turning their backs on all forms of communitarianism, banking on social dialogue, not giving up on social justice and highlighting the inclusive role of the European company.
A stimulating book based on company practices, successes and failures. Uncompromising assessments that sort out all the fashionable theories. Proposals that put ideas back in place and show that European companies have an important role to play in tomorrow's world.
