In dieser Festschrift werden anlässlich seines 50-jährigen Bestehens Geschichte, Themen und Herausforderungen des Kirchlichen Entwicklungsdienstes (KED) in den evangelischen Kirchen in Deutschland gewürdigt. Die Autoren beschreiben seinen Beitrag von der Umsetzung des Konziliaren Prozesses für Gerechtigkeit, Frieden und die Bewahrung der Schöpfung bis zu den nachhaltigen Entwicklungszielen. Anhand theoretischer Überlegungen und praktischer Erfahrungsberichte wird ein zwar nur ausschnittsweises, aber sehr facettenreiches Bild von der Entwicklungszusammenarbeit mit ökumenischen Partnern im Globalen Süden, der entwicklungspolitischen Bildungsarbeit und der Advocacy-Arbeit gegenüber Staat und Politik gezeichnet.
