Emergence. Visage of Shadow, #2

The continuing journey of Kyr'sta, a dark elf subjected to pain and torture, trying to escape and survive.  After the fall of her family house in the underground city of Ia'Ktanthul, she grew as a captive of the ranking house for decades because of her appearance.  With the deepest ebony skin, brilliant white hair, and steel grey eyes, she was the embodiment of the Goddess of Shadow.  The legend that one would be born unto the Dulonar race with those attributes was called the Visage of the Shadow Goddess and revered as an avatar, a representation of the deity.  It is said that the Visage is favored and blessed by the Shadow Goddess.  The matron of the ranking house, angered that the Visage was not born to them, tortured and tested Kyr'sta to prove favor of the goddess or not, to disprove the legend.  Now, being hunted to correct that embarrassment, Kyr'sta has gone through turbulent times and events to finally join up with other members of her family thought lost.  Unbeknownst to her, multiple parties wish to find her for good or ill, to save or execute.  The destiny of a multitude and entire society of dark elves may be at risk.  She wishes to survive, leave her painful past behind and be out on her own, but fate and a certain deity may have other plans.
