The crew of the d'Artangan continue on it's mission exploring space. It has been tough losing friends, family and crew members in the war with the Krogan which ended five years ago. The crew continue on their mission when they encounter a ship that explodes as two escape pods eject. On board are two children from a distant galaxy. They appear to be children; however, they are different than they appear and hold a secret.
The crew is told to pick up a prisoner Jay Fred Malone, and transport him to Earth. A powerful superconductor is stolen from the Valorian homeworld. It could be used as a weapon of mass destruction. It is tracked to a lawless planet. Where the Confederacy has no jurdiction. To retrieve the stolen  superconductor would be illegal going into unassigned space. To follow the law allowes the outlaws to create a weapon of mass destruction.
Jay Fred knows the planet, but he can't be trusted. The decision is tough. The right decision could mean detention, the wrong decision means death and destruction.
