Sir Horatio Gilbert George Parker (1862-1932) was a highly influential Canadian-born author, journalist, and British politician known for his romantic historical novels, particularly those depicting French Canadian life and the British Empire. A proponent of Imperialism, he successfully merged a prolific literary career with an 18-year tenure in the British Parliament and significant propaganda work during World War I.
