Mac Pendleton didn't know what had come over her. When she woke up that morning, strange things were going on with her, and it scared her too much to think about it. This weird assed vine had just appeared on her back, and it moved. Not only that, but she now knew things that she couldn't possibly have known. Edmond and his other single brothers were a bit put off by Lica's new mate, Brandy. She was shelling out cash to them so fast, they felt like bought men.
Edmond had to take a bit of a break from the family, or he might say something to Brandy that he'd regret. Edmond pulled into the parking lot of this small hole-in-the-wall diner to grab a bite to eat when these four men out of nowhere caused a ruckus, nearly getting him arrested along with them in the process. The cook, Mac, was their sister. Mac saw it all coming. She could now read everyone but Edmond.
