Résumé

My name was Hazel, and I was an adventurer. Oh, don't let anyone fool you, it wasn't like in the tales. Most often than not, the job was quite boring, and you prefer it that way. The exciting times were when there was danger afoot, and no one wanted to face it. I should have known better than to try to find the treasure inside the Golden Mountain. There were tales of a dragon there, but it had been years since anyone had seen the beast, and I convinced myself I could get in and out with enough loot to live the rest of my life. Maybe I could even buy a title, and then I would just need to worry about finding a rich husband to pamper me, and I could put my past behind me. Unfortunately, the dragon wasn't exactly willing to part with some of her hoard, and when she caught me, I had to pay the price for trying to steal it.
