Mason isn't one to be idle for too long. After returning home, she sets up her clinic with the help of her partners, and a new budding romance. She even discovers new things about her vampire partners, strengthening her relationships between them. Unlife seems to be returning to normal until the one person she thought was dead by her own hands, shows up looking for revenge. After attacking her partners, and their home, Mason realizes something is off about their enemy.
Discovering who's really behind the attacks leads Mason, and those she cares about, on a mission to set things right. Decisions made along the way could forever separate two families trying to protect a fledgling necromancer from being revealed to the world. Which would certainly destroy her father's work, and put everyone in danger of being eliminated to contain the problem. If their enemy doesn't kill them first.
