Résumé

One cabin. One bed. Two workplace rivals. And a blizzard that changes everything. Sloane Mercer has spent years building her career on preparation, precision, and control. Now, a multimillion-dollar account is within reach, and winning it could finally secure the Senior VP promotion she has worked relentlessly toward. All she needs is one uninterrupted week in a secluded Vermont cabin to perfect her pitch.
Then Jax Reynolds arrives with an identical reservation. Charming, unpredictable, and infuriatingly talented, Jax is Sloane's fiercest workplace rival and the one person standing between her and the promotion she wants. When a historic blizzard closes the mountain pass and leaves them stranded in the same cabin, neither is willing to surrender their reservation or their competitive advantage. Then they discover the booking was made under a honeymoon package.
With no other accommodations available, Sloane and Jax have little choice but to pretend they're newlyweds. Sharing a cabin with the competition is bad enough. Discovering there's only one king-sized bed makes things considerably more complicated. Determined to maintain control, Sloane draws a line of blue painter's tape down the middle of the mattress. His side. Her side. No exceptions. But as the storm intensifies and the outside world disappears beneath the snow, their carefully constructed boundaries begin to blur.
Fake affection starts feeling dangerously real. Long-held assumptions give way to unexpected conversations, guarded secrets, and an attraction neither of them can dismiss. When the power fails and the temperature plunges, staying apart becomes impossible. Somewhere between snowbound nights, shared warmth, and confessions beside the fire, the man Sloane has spent years trying to defeat becomes the one person she never expected to trust.
And the line down the middle of the bed isn't the only boundary they're about to cross. But every storm eventually ends. When the roads reopen, Sloane and Jax must return to Manhattan, where the account, the promotion, and everything they've worked for are still waiting. In the cabin, they discovered what could happen when they stopped competing. Back in the real world, they must decide what they're willing to risk when they're forced to become rivals again.
Because falling for the competition was never part of the plan. Trusting each other when everything is on the line might be the biggest risk of all. Double Booked in the Blizzard is a steamy contemporary romantic comedy featuring workplace rivals-to-lovers, forced proximity, a fake honeymoon, only one bed, grumpy-her/sunshine-him chemistry, sharp banter, irresistible tension, and a snowbound romance with a guaranteed happily ever after.
A full-length standalone romance with no cliffhanger.
