Résumé

Most existing Homeowner Associations (HOA's) are well-run, but there are always areas where improvements can be made. Serving on the Board of Directors presents challenges as it is difficult to satisfy all homeowners expectations. Differing opinions on how tomanage the association can create tensions and conflict. HOA's in Florida have faced numerous legal, financial, and operational challenges overthe years.
Many issues stem frompoor governance, lack oftransparency, financial mismangement, and conflicts over hoeowners rights. While Florida's HOA laws are amoung the most comprehensive in the country, enforcement remains inconsistent. Selective enforcement of rules continue to fuel conflicts. Legislative reforms have made progress, but ongoing oversight and consistent enforcement are essential to protect homeowners rights and ensure stable, transparentcommunity governance.
