Das vorliegende Heft gibt einen Einblick in die Displaced-Persons-Forschung (DPs) in Österreich und Deutschland. Vier Einzelbeiträge beleuchten das Phänomen dieser wohl größten Flüchtlings- und Zuwanderergruppe in Österreichs und Deutschlands jüngerer Geschichte aus unterschiedlichen Perspektiven und präsentieren neue Ansätze. Die Autoren der Beiträge plädieren für akteurszentrierte, kulturgeschichtliche Zugänge und bringen damit Bewegung in das Forschungsfeld.
The present issue gives an insight in the research of displaced persons (DPs) in Austria and Germany.
Four contributions focus on the phenomenon of this assumingly largest refugee and immigrant group of Austria's and Germany's recent history from different perspectives and present new approaches. The authors plead for a culture-historical approach and therefore breathe new life into this study field.
