John Winston, a resident of Chesapeake Bay, Virginia, and a recent high school graduate, celebrates his new life by going on a road trip. However, when his car breaks down, he ends up in the tiny town of Dell's Orchard. While he waits for his car to be repaired-and waits, and waits-he meets Andrea Kim, whose car is also being repaired. Soon, they find out that they're reliving the same night over and over, and that night consists of them going to a disco called FIRE where the same scenario replays itself ad infinitum.
And when they discover a barrier around the town, they realize that they're trapped. The only question is why. Once they learn the horrifying truth, they have to fight for their very existence.
