Telma Robertson is Chief Disciplinarian at an all-woman monastery in the small town of Amazonia, in rural Missouri. When a nun at the monastery reports sexually deviant behavior by two young female residents - Thora and Thea, Telma is sent by Prioress Tallulah to investigate. Thora and Thea are a couple of sexually vigorous young lesbian women who like to compete sexually and physically and Telma is enamored by the sexual antics of the two competitive women.
She longs to discipline the two young women. When Telma reports about the two young women's strange sexual proclivities to Prioress Tallulah, the Prioress who has a voracious sexual appetite for young women also becomes interested in Thora and Thea. But Sister Theodora, a straight laced conservative virgin nun, who secretly longs for Telma, tries to block all their sexual reveries. The sexually hungry women at the monastery struggle with their repressed lesbian desire for each other and are locked together in a web of mutual longing, competition and sexual jealousy.
