Dieser Band legt seinen Fokus auf die Untersuchung der kulturellen Beziehungen zwischen Deutschland und Dänemark im 18. Jahrhundert und setzt damit neue Akzente in der Forschung. Anhand spezifischer Fallstudien analysieren die Beiträgerinnen und Beiträger die Diskurse, in denen deutsch-dänische Aufklärung ausgehandelt wurde. Untersucht werden Medien, insbesondere Moralische Wochenschriften, aber auch Korrespondenzen, Memoiren und Paratexte, sowie Netzwerkkonstellationen, geprägt durch Freundschaft, Verehrung, Schülerschaft, Autorität, Opposition oder auch Konkurrenz.
Beides spielt eine zentrale Rolle für die Erforschung des Phänomens >Aufklärung< in deutsch-dänischer Perspektive. This volume focuses on the analysis of the cultural relations between Germany and Denmark in the 18th century and therefore sets a new standard in research. With the help of specific case studies, the contributors analyse the discourses in which German-Danish enlightenment was negotiated.
The contributors analyse media, especially moral weeklies but also letters, memoirs and paratexts as well as network constellations characterised by friendship, admiration, authority, opposition or even competition. Both aspects play a major role in the research of the phenomenon "enlightenment" in a German-Danish perspective.
