Detour

Caution! Detour ahead! This collection of 15 short stories emphasizes how life's detours can significantly alter the course of a person's life. Some detours may lead to positive outcomes, success, fame, wealthy. Other decisions can take a person down a destructive path, a path that can be irreversible. Detour is the third book in this author's Road Trilogy and much like the previous two, deals with characters who must live with the consequences of their decisions.
The reader will find a variety of characters, ranging from a woman in a chaotic relationship who is facing a vehicular homicide charge to a minister who has lost his faith and is struggling with his hypocrisy. Other stories include a woman who apparently made a poor career decision, but through the intervention of a dog, has the opportunity for attitude change, as well as romance; a truck driver who avoided a youthful incident that profoundly affected his future; a mental health worker whose supervisor's requirement places her in a situation that can help free a man who viciously murdered two women; a lady who is a book addict; and a man who believes he is a famous author--delusional or not? The author provides the reader with a diverse collection of stories which include issues of domestic violence, child abuse, mental health, and addiction.
