So the cat Fasel got a gold coin, woke up the old Blue Ghost and wanted to be a beautiful sailor who lives in a fountain. The old blue ghost granted him his wish. The cat became a merman.

By chance, she sees a beautiful sailor in the fountain and falls in love with him, so much so that she almost forgets about her fiancé. Since Fasel finds her presence intrusive, he decides to write a letter to Gianni and invite him to be a merman so that Desdemona can choose the one she likes better.
Gianni arrives, brings a gold coin and becomes a seaman. Only then does Fasel realize how much he enjoyed the presence of that beautiful girl and that he was wrong to invite Gianni.
