God wants to have the first and most important place in all the matters of man. He wants man to totally depend on Him as the driving force behind all his affairs. Man's total dependency on God is His satisfaction. For this reason, He created man with great potential to help him reach this required standard. Thus, man possessed strength and extraordinary abilities to fulfil God's desires. When man violated God's commandment by eating the forbidden fruit, the divine abilities and the spiritual potential he possessed at the point of creation were destroyed.
Thus, the genuineness of man's heart was distorted and his absolute dependency on the Lord was abated. Although man was corrupted with sin, the unchangeable God does not change His eternal purpose for him. He therefore redeemed and reconciled him to Himself at the considerable price of the Lord Jesus Christ, that we who believe in Him will be justified to live in an absolute dependent manner, that which is holy and acceptable to God.
