In many ways, the East is experiencing much of what Joen had been praying would happen in West Luczidal. It was obvious that Joen and Raqhel would change their relationship into a permanent covenant with Ansél. But several major problems delayed things. The marriage would take place as soon as possible. They both continued to work hard publishing books, posters, and much more to help the Known in the west. One of the biggest changes was that the Lord gave Raqhel a call that seemed as preposterous as Joen's.
It increased her danger, and she was not pleased about that. Her friends treated her like Joen's treated him. All she could do was drop it in the hands of Ansél. He was the only one who could make it work. But then Cyril deposed Heglin and the war turned spiritual. Ansél made sure the group around Joen and Raqhel understood that his ways were much higher than the ways of Qatar. But the methods stretched them all to their limits.
The Lord led them to surprising help in Semuel, the northern Manor. However, Dronstèl became a severe problem. Semancza, her lover lord, and Sir Rundolf were very impressed with themselves and their power. Ansél seemed amused.
