Résumé

This is my story! How I ended up in a maximum section of a South African prison."I walked through the open prison door of the cell and a hundred and twenty faces stared back at me. Five of the faces were white like me but the rest were various shades of brown to black. Race has never been a personal issue for me - we are all human beings, no matter what our race, creed, sex or religion is, but this is South Africa, a country with a racist history like no other country on earth.
White supremacists established laws in this country so that people of colour were segregated to live apart from the whites. Innocent people were sent to jail, who dared to fight against the oppression. A white man in this country is hated by the other races for the things his white forefathers did. Even though my Dad fought against apartheid, it will have little consequence, as all that the other inmates will see is a rich racist white male!!!Read the book to see how a successful chartered accountant like me ended up with a sentence of 22 years."This book is about how my default settings got changed - throughout the 50 years of my life - and how the reset option had to be pressed to restore myself back to it's default settings.
You see, if you are too damaged like a phone, resetting is sometimes the only option.
