                              During a hot summer day in late July 1983 a day like any other turned into a day of terror for Daryl and his three children. What turned out to be a simple shopping trip at a local grocery store escalates into a full-on fight for survival.                                  As a tornado destroys the store, they are in, trapping them inside, a familiar villain appears and forces everyone inside the store to play a horrific game with an unthinkable consequence, whether they win or lose.                                   Soon racism and fear take hold and Daryl, and his children find themselves not only in a fight for their lives but in a fight for their very souls. (In his sixth novel, Kevin Densmore, author of "Gary" and "All Things Must End" takes an unflinching look at racism in the south during the eighties.
