Darksome Thorn follows the adventures of Skel, a wizard in training who discovers he's the product of an evil wizard's attempts to fulfill a thousand-year-old prophecy. Hidden forces in the land of Duskain are coming to light as the prophecy starts to come together, and Skel teams up with his snarky but powerful foster sister, a former pirate, a cursed warrior, a mercenary troll, and a dragon-possessed woman.
Powerful magic-wielders both light and dark are on their tail as they race to break a curse and save a stolen baby from a dream-magic cult. Not to mention the dragon. Will Skel follow the destiny set out for him on the blade of the Darksome Thorn? Does he even have a choice?
