Résumé
This textbook builds on the excellent Corporate Finance 7/e by Denzil Watson and Antony Head. The Itaian co-authors- Emanuele Rossi (Bicocca University, Milan) and Guido Max Mantovani (University Ca' Foscari, Venice, and H. E. R. M. E. S., Strasbourg) - bring insights from their experience with the Higher Education and Research in Management of European Universities (H. E. R. M. E. S.) project. Corporate Finance - Principles and Practice in Europe is ideal for basic/introductory courses as well as intermediate courses in corporate finance in Europe.
The text offers professors and students the best of two worlds. First, it provides a unique European perspective while remaining grounded in sound theory and practice. Second, it extends basic concepts into the domain of practical application in a way that improves students' understanding of managerial strategy facilitating a smooth transition from the classroom to the real world. It is not an easy task to address financial issues from the perspective of European institutions and market structures while simultaneously building on the foundations of financial theory and empirical results that have evolved from scholarly research.
"Corporate Finance" succeeds admirably. From the Preface by Jack S. Rader, Former Executive Director of the Financial Management Association International; Former adjunct instructor, University of South Florida"
