Résumé

This book is a compilation of research work the author conducted in last few years. The question mark in the title of the book is intentionally added to imply whether the development really is development and if so, then development for whom? The research work compiled in the first part of this book specifically highlights the so-called development of Navi Mumbai City and its repercussions borne by the project affected people (PAP) in Navi Mumbai.
The question mark in the title is for the apathetic attitude of the government body, CIDCO, towards the PAPs while developing this city. The book is thematically divided in three sections: Section I comprises research work highlighting development (?) process in Navi Mumbai and the impact of online education on mental health of children of the PAPs during COVID 19 Pandemic; Section II comprises research work highlighting various industrial trends in India and Section III delves deeper into government policies and their impact on Indian economy.
