She summons the spirit of her destiny, King Tut, who is now reincarnated as Toliver Waynesfield, son of wealthy Chicago banker. Meeting at the St. Louis World's Fair, Violet and Toliver fall in love. With the soulmates finally reunited in this life, Violet is devastated to discover that Tut's spirit is cursed to die young.
