My many psychology clients have asked me what goes on in my profession, and what I, and their past therapists really think. I write from the perspective of a professionally trained listener/helper, every day communing with patients who struggle with very personal issues. Along the way, I grapple with difficult topics--politics, homosexuality and gay rights, sex, religion, abortion. I cover the foibles of insurance and money.
