In October 2007 he set up the Prince's Rainforests Project to slow tropical deforestation and combat climate change, and in 2010 his International Sustainability Unit was established to facilitate consensus on key environmental challenges, including how best to protect food security and sustain vital ecosystems.
The Prince of Wales has also sought to address climate change challenges through his patronage of the University of Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership and its Corporate Leaders Group on Climate Change.
