Résumé

The war against Golgotha is over. But for one starship Tenacity veteran, it continues. The galaxy is a mess. With the Great Galactic War at an end, the Empire of Golgotha has withdrawn behind mostly pre-war borders. Planets overrun during their interstellar blitz are abandoned to the Republic of Sanctuary to reclaim. Few of these worlds prospered during their occupation. Most are a ruin. And a few are so steeped in the alien wickedness of Golgotha's spidery Arathran overlords that they may already be lost causes.
Lieutenant Khiry Jaxan doesn't believe in lost causes. Dogged by wartime nightmares and haunted by heartbreak, she has transferred back to the Republic Drop Corps that first gave her a start out of the slums. The Corps has a saying that resonates, especially in these tumultuous times: never leave your own behind. Jaxan has no intention of leaving a single world or a single sentient being behind. The mission was to save the galaxy.
And that's exactly what she and the Drop Corps will do.
Born too strange for a normal world, K. J. Coble endures adulthood through long-distance running, rock 'n' roll guitar, and his writing. A love of history, weird fiction, and explosions fills his world-building. In his stories the righteous may suffer, but the corrupt get their comeuppance, and evil always receives its justly-deserved kick in the teeth. Lairing somewhere in the Midwest, he is tolerated by his wife, three kids, and a very opinionated coonhound. His home on the web is kjcoble.com. Email at [email protected].
