Résumé

Claudia Drake's family comprises only her maternal grandparents and a granduncle. Now they've all been kidnapped. An event she saw in a vision. The first of her newly discovered fairy talent. The local police are no help. Her grandmother's friends know who to call-The Pendragon Alliance. Claudia doesn't know what to make of the three men who show up. One looks like Mark Harmon. One looks like an Italian playboy.
And the last one looks like a huge, golden-brown bear. But there's something more interesting about the bear. He resonates with the same energy frequency as the ancient sword she has been protecting ever since her paternal aunt's death. He's connected somehow, but how exactly? She doesn't have any choice in accepting their help. By the next day, she has to admit, they're doing more than the cops. When she discovers the bear, aka Finn Pendragon, is the man to whom she's supposed to hand over her sword, it makes more sense.
And despite their less than auspicious beginning, he begins to grow on her. A lot. Finn Pendragon never expected their emergency call to be to help a Sword Maiden. And not just any Sword Maiden, but the one who guarded his weapon. Leaving others in charge of getting the rest of her family back, Finn and Claudia set out with trusted friends to fulfill both of their duties. Duties set in place for them centuries ago.
Duties that some do not want them to accomplish and will do whatever they can to stop them. Can they do what they need to before Morgause or the Vanir, Gwarthgydde, stop them?Sons of Pendragon - Seven brothers with secrets, taken from their own time and raised in the present to continue their father's work. All they require are the weapons their father gave them as children. Sword Maidens - Seven women with a secret mission.
Each the eldest female in a line of women charged with guarding special weapons through the centuries until their owners appear. HEA, no cliffhanger.
Big surprise, I'm a romantic. I love stories about knights and Highlanders. I love strong Alpha males, but I want them to have equally strong women for their partners. The mystery surrounding King Arthur has always been a favorite subject and it led me to wonder what would have happened if there was more to the story. What if the sword, and other swords, were more important? What if he had sons who survived? These questions and more led to the birth of my Sons of Pendragon series. I've also been fascinated by tales of the Fae from Ireland and Scotland.
How would they interact with humans? What if they were forced into an alternate dimension and some of them were angry about it? The old, familiar, but still relevant trope of Good vs. Evil. This led to the birth of my companion series, The Sidhe Hunters. I also love mysteries! Reading and writing them. The first "book" I ever wrote was a mystery. Though at age eight, the "book" was only around twelve pages long.
Finally, the Low Country of South Carolina, combined with the ghost stories my father used to tell me, led to a paranormal cozy mystery with some quirky characters, a bit of romance, and a touch of spooky. On a more personal note, I love animals. I currently have three very spoiled rescue dogs. I also love photography. You'll often see my photographs on my social media pages. I love history, archaeology, genealogy, and a lot of other -gys.
