Résumé
Dr Benzile Monica Fakazile Nkabinde is a medical doctor, a specialist obstetrician and gynaecologist, and a mother of five grown children including two sets of twins. She has dedicated 34 years of her life to the healthcare of women and has a special interest in pregnancy and childbirth. Helping to deliver God's greatest gift to mankind safely into the world has been the greatest blessing and joy of her life.
Many times, patients have asked her to speak to their teenage daughters when what used to be a bundle of joy starts going off the rails. This book addresses this crucial need for information and guidance from a medical, cultural, and religious perspective. It aims to assist young people as they delicately weave through the information clutter, helping them to make better choices to unlock God's purpose for their lives.
It is in our country's interest that we bring up well-grounded children. Choose Well, Choose Life addresses all the social ills confronting today's youth, which negatively impact their ability to harness God's dream for their lives. These issues include premature sexual activity, teenage pregnancies, rebellious behaviour, alcohol and drug abuse, fatherlessness, and the breakdown of family units. With her extensive experience and expertise, Dr Nkabinde is well positioned to write this book.
She is a medical doctor and a specialist obstetrician/gynaecologist with a deep knowledge and understanding of medico-psycho-social issues affecting young people during critical stages of development. She is a mother, and by God's grace has raised five children through very turbulent times. She has first-hand experience of all the issues she discusses in this book. It is her hope and prayer that this book will help young people to make good choices, unlock the dreams God has for them, and claim the future which they deserve.
