China Camp - The Treasure of the Red Dragon

China Camp lies at the bottom of a hill just south of Rat Cove on the San Pablo Bay. It has been the scene of shrimp fishing, opium dens, tong wars, sing song girls, the movie "Blood Alley, " and much more. In 1851, the Year of the Pig, Lee Chew had come to Gold Mountain (California) and struck it rich. By the winter of 1853 both Lee and his gold ended up on his Cousin's fishing junk, The Red Dragon.
A big blow caught The Red Dragon in the middle of San Pablo Bay where it sank before it could make it back to the safety of China Camp. And the gold aboard? Some say it was on The Red Dragon.
