Julia Karnes was diagnosed with schizophrenia at six years old.  Plagued with nightmares of the world ending, hearing voices no one else could hear and seeing visions no one else could see, she struggled to find a place to fit in. But safety in this new world is an illusion.  The shadows spread even there and she was about to give up when she found Westin, a deaf boy she went to school with and his younger brother.  Westin and his brother become something Julia thought she'd lost long ago, safety, family and home but trust is dangerous in a world where nothing is what it seems. The truth is worse than the madness she thought she was plagued with.
