Résumé

Set in Brazil and the spiritual realms, Children, I am alive! is a moving Spiritist account dictated by the spirit Tereza to the psychographic medium Ana de Los Angeles. After enduring a long, painful battle with cancer, Tereza, a humble and devoted mother, disincarnates and awakens in the "House of Hope, " a welcoming spiritual hospital. Because she accepted her earthly trials with resignation and faith, her transition is surprisingly peaceful.
She is joyfully reunited with her deceased relatives, including her sister Maria and her remarkably transformed husband, Armando, who appears youthful and free from the bitterness that plagued him on Earth. Tereza quickly adapts to her new reality and eagerly volunteers to help the suffering, newly disincarnated souls in the hospital's wards. Guided by enlightened spirits like Sister Serena and Dr.
Amaro, she soon receives permission to visit her grieving children on Earth-Maria Amélia, Sonia, Miriam, Joao, and Nininha. During these visits, Tereza observes the complex spiritual laws of cause and effect. She learns that her family's earthly hardships are deeply rooted in past-life karmic debts. For instance, she witnesses the intense spiritual obsession surrounding her son Joao, who is persecuted by the vengeful spirit Silveira.
Through the protective power of the "Gospel at Home" and Armando's tireless efforts to make amends for his past-life mistakes, the family navigates these trials, leading to the emotional rescue of Silveira's grandson, Timóteo. Seeking to further her spiritual education, Tereza travels to the luminous spiritual city of "Felicidade". Upon completing her studies, she joins Dr. Amaro on harrowing rescue missions into the "Umbral"-a dark, dense lower astral plane filled with lost and suffering souls.
There, Tereza witnesses profound acts of Christian forgiveness: a murdered young doctor named Júlio pardons the teenage boy who shot him, and a former actress named Marina rescues Gustavo, an arrogant man who had maliciously ruined her earthly career. Through tears, learning, and unwavering maternal devotion, Tereza's journey reveals that death is not the end. Children, I am alive! is a powerful testament that family bonds transcend the physical body, and that unconditional love and forgiveness are the greatest of virtues.
