Second novel in the crime series Chasing Shadows but can be read as a stand alone novel. After a spate of murders, DI Mike Watson once again finds himself as lead detective. His friend and colleague DS George Wilson, becomes the victim of a vicious assault and is badly injured and in a coma. When his wife returns from visiting him in hospital, she discovers an intruder in her home and then begins a dramatic fight for life, as she tries to fend off the man who attacked her husband and left him for dead.
