Lauren Weisberger est un écrivain américain célèbre. Née le 28 mars 1977 en Pennsylvanie, elle a étudié à l’université de Cornell. Après avoir obtenu son diplôme, elle continua ses études à l’étranger. En 1999, Lauren retourna aux États-Unis et s’installa précisément à Manhattan. Là, elle obtient du travail en tant qu’assistante d’Anna Wintour, rédactrice en chef de Vogue US.
Très inspirée dans son travail de rédactrice, elle fait sortir son premier roman intitulé « Le Diable s'habille en Prada ». Dans cette œuvre, elle raconte l’histoire d’une jeune femme nommée Andréa Sachs. Après avoir terminé ses études, Andrea obtient un travail à la direction de Runway. Elle devient donc l’assistante de la rédactrice en chef du nom de Miranda Riestly. Au boulot, elle vit un véritable calvaire. Et cela à cause de sa patronne Miranda.
En dehors du roman « Le Diable s’habille en Prada », Lauren a écrit plusieurs ouvrages dont « Sexe, diamants et plus si affinités... ». Publié en 2008, ce livre fut un véritable succès. Lauren raconte dans cette œuvre l’histoire de 3 jeunes femmes nommées Emmy, Leigh et Adriana. Trentenaires, elles connaissent les endroits les plus branchés et tendances de Manhattan. Lors d’une soirée, elles décident de signer un pacte : changer chacune de comportement. Ce pacte sera-t-il rompu ?
