Heather returns to her hometown and finds unexpected love. A thunderstorm catches Heather off guard, causing her to seek refuge at her parents' house to escape the torrential rain. Heather's relationship with her parents hasn't been the same since she transitioned to womanhood. Of course she wishes that they could be a bigger part of her life, but she won't sacrifice her happiness for anyone. Not even her parents. Heather is doing better than ever, though.
She has a successful career, which is why she's on the highway in the first place, but fate seems to have other plans when she's forced to take a detour to her parents' house. After the storm clears, Heather goes to a shop in her hometown.
