Certain Death One

"We all knew catastrophe loomed. We just didn't believe it would happen this way" (anonymous). Certain Death One is about a wildfire, not the kind that kills trees, or burns through the human population like a pandemic or message of hate. It is human-made, by accident and, if it escapes, will destroy all life within thirty miles. It is slowly eating its way through an experimental rail tank car in the most densely populated area of the United States, and nobody knows whether it's a gas, a virus or something else that defies description.
Certain Death One chronicles a race against time covering a period of fourteen hours and three men are about to be thrown together to face this most terrifying challenge in human history, the transportation and neutralization of an ecological horror. They are William Jeremiah, former superstar of the covert Special Operations branch of the CIA, who desperately seeks redemption while fighting an emotional breakdown; Carl Bzynski, a friendless, divorced bigot, who also happens to be the most experienced engineer in the state of New Jersey; and Hosea Bethea, a diminutive African-American soldier honing skills that may save millions.
Together, they must face the unrelenting threat of a Category Four hurricane and a band of terrorists that is bent on destroying the train.
