Résumé
Tarin Vale's new class comes with one brutal restriction: he can't use a single conventional card. At the Basilica Registry in Veyrhold, Tarin awakens as a Fusion Alchemist-then watches the career he prepared for close in front of him. His System will only accept cards he authors himself. No purchased deck. No inherited rare. No easy workaround. So Tarin turns to the one resource he actually understands: condemned salvage.
At Quill Salvage, two discarded cards fuse into Cinder, an unstable living card with behavior the Registry cannot neatly classify. For the first time, Tarin has a path forward. Broken utility stock, weak traits, and unwanted materials can become a custom build-if he can learn how to make the results stable, repeatable, and survivable. But every successful proof raises the value of what Tarin is doing.
Markets notice. Regulators want controlled tests. Institutional access comes with conditions.
