Richard Hughes graduated from Massachusetts Maritime Academy with a B. S. in Marine Transportation, then obtained an M. S. from Lesley University. He operated a safety training center on Cape Cod with his wife & fellow author Lavinia M. Hughes. He wrote Deep Sea Decisions and the Cape Safety, Inc. - Danger Dogs Series-a collection of 5 novels detailing the exciting lives of a top-notch safety consulting firm based in Woods Hole, MA, employing actual technological stories from the news that his characters use to solve global problems.
