Résumé

Murder. Drugs. Corruption. All of the above? What's your pleasure? Solving her first big case surprised everyone, including herself. Carin's goal was to leave the small town for the big leagues of detective circles. The inexperienced detective knew the publicity from The Nursing Home Murders was her ticket out of Marble Grove. After becoming intimate with the dank underbelly of her adopted town, Carin decided to stay.
She is determined to unwrap the town's twisted history. Marble Grove is a town masking a decades-long web of deceit and corruption under an idyllic image. "One of those DNA tests will tell you what you want to know. They run specials all the time. For fifty bucks, you can learn things you probably don't want to know." Just when she thinks she's hit a dead end, Todd Davison enters her world. "We've all had to have someone else rip off the bandage that we could not take care of ourselves.
Sometimes, the pain of losing a few hairs keeps us from knowing the wound is healing. Wounds need to feel the air to heal more quickly. I'm ripping the bandage off Marble Grove and starting with ..." What is the cost of learning the truth? As Carin struggles with her inner demons, will Todd be able to handle the night terrors? Praise for Calder Road "Calder Road is a page-turner. It is Ducantlin's best work." - Louise E. "As Carin races against time to reveal the truth, she becomes one of mystery fiction's most compelling detectives, and Marble Grove is one of its darkest worlds." -  Josh M.

À propos de l'auteur

Biographie de R C Ducantlin

Fortunately, in secondary school, my interest in reading was sparked. A close friend and an instructor, who took interest in a boy he later called 'The rebel without a clue., ' were instrumental in my learning the value of a good book. Both piqued my interest in reading. My lifelong friend inspired me to read J. R. R. Tolkien and I became addicted to the fantasy genre. The instructor required I read interesting historical novels for academic credit.
Frank Norris, Leon Uris, and Ken Follett are inspirations and fuel my love of history. Born to a military family, it was logical that I follow the military tradition. However, after four years of "yes sirs" and scraping the wax off floors I decided there must be more fun in a corporate career. Thirty plus years of work experiences across the globe, the corporate career landed me in Colorado, where I live with my wife and I can be close to my children and grandchildren.
