Some secrets refuse to stay buried. For Henry Post, those secrets come to light when he meets Rick Denton in Alcoholics Anonymous. Obligated to keep Rick on the wagon, Henry stops by his house, meeting Rick's daughter, model Veronica Branson. Enamored of Veronica, Henry becomes torn between his friendship with Rick and his desire for Veronica. Within her own world, Veronica struggles with the wounds of the past threatening her present happiness.
Reuniting with her brother, Jorie after the death of their mother, shades of deception fall away as the truth of who their father really is reveals itself. Wanting to keep the illusion of his mother's kindness alive, Jorie ignores Veronica's persistence at uncovering the mystery, distancing himself from her to keep the lie alive. A group of people corner Jorie, seeking something his mom kept from them, he's forced to dig into his family's dark past, knowing it can ruin an already tenuous relationship between him and his sister.
However, Rick Denton is a man with secrets of his own. Haunted by past mistakes and desperate to keep his family from falling apart, Rick clings to the illusion of control even as the truth threatens to unravel everything. His need for redemption and his fear of exposure cast a long shadow over everyone he loves. The closer he gets to the truth, the tighter he holds onto the delusion, struggling not to lose himself in the process.
