Résumé

When the world ends, survival becomes political. At 04:17 GMT, the missiles launch. By sunrise, the northern hemisphere is ash. Far south, at the edge of Africa, Cape Town watches the sky burn. In the chaos that follows, governments collapse, cities fracture, and fear redraws every border. Militias rise. Supply chains vanish. Power shifts to whoever controls food, fuel, and guns. Twelve-year-old Themba loses his mother in the first week of the collapse.
Thirteen-year-old Danie loses everything on a roadside outside Hermanus. Six years later, they are survivors in New Drake Town - a harbor settlement ruled by a fragile alliance between two powerful men determined to prevent civil war at any cost. But the system keeping the peace is rotting from within. Rations disappear. Shipments are skimmed. The powerful grow stronger while the desperate starve.
And when Themba notices what others are too afraid to see, he sets something in motion that could shatter the uneasy balance holding the Cape together. Danie wants only one thing: to protect his sister and stay invisible. Themba wants something more dangerous: accountability. In a world rebuilt on compromise, corruption, and fear, two young men from opposite sides of a broken city must decide what kind of future is worth fighting for - and what kind of cost they're willing to pay to build it.
Gritty, morally complex, and unflinchingly real, Brothers of the Cape of Good Hope is a post-apocalyptic thriller about power, loyalty, and the fragile systems that keep civilization alive.
