Résumé

God uses broken vessels exclusively in the service of His Kingdom.   Do you struggle with feeling unworthy of God's grace? Are you overwhelmed by regret and resentment over things that happened in the past (or are still going on in your life today)?    Do you have a habit or sin that no matter how many times you "give it to God" you can't seem to shake? Have you ever truly examined yourself before the judgment seat of God?   Do you ever struggle to know for sure that you've been saved when time-and-time again you find yourself falling back into the ways of the flesh?    This isn't a light-hearted devotional.
If you're looking for something that will make you feel better about yourself, while avoiding the darkness in your life, this isn't the prayer book for you.    But if you've taken an honest assessment of your life and know that left on your own accord you're nothing but a broken vessel... ...or if you know you have "secret sins" hidden away that you've never given over to God... This might be the book for you.    If you want to know the true freedom that God wants you to experience through the gift of repentance and faith... Then it is my prayer that the Lord will speak through this book to show you that there is hope; that God still has a plan for you.   He meets us in and through our brokenness.  He meets us in the Cross: His and ours.   After serving as a pastor for seven years and earning a Ph.
D. in Theology, Judah Lamb found himself alone - and trapped in addiction.  Unable to find sobriety in the religious mechanisms and institutions that used to define his faith, he resigned from the pastoral ministry. Over time, Judah learned that these events that destroyed his ministry weren't merely tragic and devastating. They were restorative. Through his failures, God gave Judah the gift of brokenness.  These were the events that God used to destroy the idols in Judah's life, to bring him to his knees, to transform him into a vessel that God could use.  This isn't a book written by a Christian who merely has a lot of Christian education and purports to teach you what you should think about God.  This is a book from the heart of a broken man who has found absolute freedom in the Gospel of Jesus Christ.   This isn't Judah's story - but they are the prayers that God gave Judah and that God used to change his life in ways he never believed possible.   "Some say I fell from grace, " Judah says.
"That couldn't be further from the truth. I fell into grace."
